Experience in home care, assisted living, or healthcare settings is preferred but not required for all positions. We provide training and ongoing support. What we cannot teach is character, work ethic, and empathy. Those are what we hire for.
Many home care agencies treat caregivers as interchangeable. Shifts are assigned based on whoever is available, caseloads are heavy, and communication is minimal. That approach leads to burnout and turnover, which hurts caregivers and clients alike.
At Domira, we take a different approach. Caregivers are matched to clients intentionally, based on skills, personality, and compatibility. You will work with a consistent client rather than rotating through different homes every week. We believe that consistency benefits both the caregiver and the client, creating a relationship where trust can develop naturally over time.
We also maintain open communication with our caregivers. You will know what is expected before every assignment. If you encounter a challenge in the field, you will have someone to call who will listen and respond. Our leadership is accessible and involved because the quality of support we provide to caregivers directly affects the quality of care delivered to clients.
Personal Care Aide: Hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and daily living activities. Experience with personal care is preferred.
Companion Caregiver: Social engagement, safety supervision, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation. Ideal for individuals who are warm, patient, and enjoy building relationships.
Dementia Care Specialist: Specialized support for individuals living with Alzheimer's or other forms of cognitive decline. Experience with dementia care is strongly preferred.
Extended Hour and Overnight Caregiver: Longer shifts including evening, overnight, and 24-hour coverage. Requires the ability to stay alert and attentive during extended periods and to manage higher-acuity clients independently.
